travel / phoenix arizona

We recently spent a few days in Phoenix for a conference. We traded in Ohio's 30 degree weather for sunshine and a warmer climate!

When my husband has a conference and I get to tag along my main goal is to find a great hotel where I can work and play while he is away. We chose The Saguaro in Scottsdale. It had an open air gym, bright colored walls, healthy food and a great pool where I was able to work and relax. Being careful about our health we always start by finding a grocery store, grab fruit & veggies, a few healthy snacks, filtered water and this time our own supplies for margaritas.

If you happen to travel out that way check out:
Phoenix Farmers Market (downtown Phoenix) - right outside of the Public Market Cafe which has amazing brunch
The Original Chop Shop (Scottsdale) - best known for healthy meals and fresh pressed juices
Mabel's On Main (Scottsdale) - saloon style with fantastic craft cocktails
Distrito (Scottsdale) - great Mexican inspired food
Songbird Coffee (downtown Phoenix) - get the espresso spritzer, you won't be sorry!
Blue Hound Kitchen (downtown Phoenix) - whiskey cocktails were incredible
